My happy place is a black-box theatre, the dustier the better.
I'm interested in plays that explore failure: the failure to connect, the failure to create, the failure to communicate, the failure to live, et cetera.
I believe in a non-hierarchical facilitation style. The director is the least skilled actor and the most ignorant designer. To create anything, I need an ensemble of talented collaborators. My role as an artistic leader is to remove barriers, so that everyone else can do their best work.
